Grape variety: 100% Sangiovese
Age of vines: 20 years - Altitude: 260 meters
Soil: Silt, sand and clay, slightly calcareous
Vinification and aging: The selection of Sangiovese grapes from the Montepulciano area
of Tre Berte, in the Pieve di Argiano, carries out the fermentation in stainless steel vinifiers
where maceration lasts about 18 days at a controlled temperature of 28/30° C. After the
alcoholic fermentation, the wine is transferred to 50 hl oak barrels where it undergoes the
malolactic fermentation and where it remains for further aging for at least 18 months. The wine
bottled is then stored in the cellar for about six months.
Tasting Notes: Ruby red color. Ripe fruit, flowers and spices on the nose. Freshness and
complexity, fine and velvety tannins are the result of the careful selection of sangiovese grapes.
This wine is vibrant and expresses the traditional characteristics of Vino Nobile di
Montepulciano from the Pieve di Argiano area.
Food pairings: Traditional pairings are red meats (both roasted and pickled
salt), game and aged cheeses.
Serving notes: Serve the wine at a temperature of 18° C. Storage: Store the
bottle in a horizontal position at a temperature of 15°/17° C, away from light.
